FPTower Inc. Launches 2026 “Save A Life” Raffle to Support Coastal Safety of Offshore Research
FPTower Inc., a North Carolina-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to maritime safety, scientific research, and environmental stewardship, is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 “Save A Life” Raffle, a fundraising campaign designed to strengthen coastal rescue capabilities while sustaining offshore research operations.
The raffle, which runs through Memorial Day May 25, 2026, will fund the donation of four (4) U Safe self-propelled, remotely controlled life-saving buoys to the coastal communities that receive the highest number of public nominations through raffle participation.
Each raffle ticket purchased equals “Coastal Point” votes for a nominated local coastal community. At the conclusion of the raffle, the four coastal areas with the most points will each receive a U-Safe buoy — a self-propelled remotely operated rescue device designed to assist in rapid water rescues while protecting first responders.
“This campaign represents a direct investment in public safety,” said Richard Neal, Executive Director of FPTower Inc. “By combining community engagement with lifesaving technology, we are helping coastal communities enhance rescue readiness while continuing our offshore research and maritime safety mission.”
In addition to supporting coastal area safety, participants are entered for a chance to win the raffle’s Grand prize: a 5-day, 4-night Mission Immersive Eco Adventure for the winner and three guests at Frying Pan Tower™, located 32 miles off the coast of North Carolina.
The prize includes:
- Charter vessel transportation
- Private ocean-facing accommodations
- Chef-prepared meals
- Marine exploration opportunities
- Stargazing in a world-class dark-sky environment
- A guided tour of the historic 1964 offshore light station
Frying Pan Tower™, originally built to protect ships navigating the treacherous Frying Pan Shoals, now serves as a platform for environmental research, coastal resilience initiatives, and maritime safety outreach.
Proceeds from the raffle directly support FPTower Inc.’s programs focused on:
- Maritime safety awareness
- Ocean health and climate research
- Environmental education and public outreach
Tickets are available online at 2026 FPTOWER INC. “SAVE A LIFE” RAFFLE. The raffle ends May 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. The drawing winner will be announced May 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET.
